Paid program needs an Internet connection. Does not install.

Bought the program to install on a secured system that is not connected to the internet. Author does not mention that an internet connection is require to install / run.

Dual screen support

It seems to only work on my main monitor when there is a start button on both screens. Please add a way to get it working on both / all taskbars.

Option to remove or hide System Tray icon.

I really don't like the idea of tons of icons in my system tray, the option to remove it or hide it in this app would make it perfect.

This is one of the best out there, and affordable

I've bought this for every computer in my company. It's great, simple, not like the original Windows start button but better. You've done everything right.

Add the Office 2007 submenus (recent excel docs)

With Office 2007 (on Win 7) we can see for Excel the recent excel docs and even stick the most important on top of the list. This is really useful, but not possible with start menu X. Would be a great improvement, imho.

Have disconnect as a shutdown item on remote desktop

When connected via remote desktop, Disconnect should be the primary shutdown option.

Make Start Button click behavior customizable

It would be nice to make a normal click on the start button bring up the default windows behavior, and a shift-click on it would bring up Start Menu X. That is, just like the windows-key click is customizable, it would be nice to have the mouse...

Start menu from mouse that goes sides or top optionally if none other alike bars are there.

Allow for Start Button at Top of Screen

If you have no keyboard and a touchscreen, running a full screen program like navigator, it would be nice to be able to open the menu by clicking a symbol or picture.

The program stores your settings in the folder
%appdata%\StartMenuX\
Example: Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\StartMenuX
Windows 7 - C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\StartMenuX

Remove Windows login image and name from panel - settings backup/restore option

I use Start Menu simply because it is better, and being able to remove unnecessary window dressing would be great. A settings backup/restore option would also be desirable to allow setup security.

power control icons need hover text

The Power control icons need hover text to show what they actually are. So we don't do things like accidentally shutdown the system if we just want to reboot.
